Milla Killeen, a vibrant 12-year-old from Teesdale, is remembered for her warmth, creativity and kindness. She tragically lost her life when a school bus rolled over near Stonehaven, west of Geelong. A Creative Soul
Milla loved to draw, craft and design, often filling her home with colour and imagination. She enjoyed learning Indonesian and Japanese words, proudly teaching them to her nan. Her family described her as patient and caring, especially with her younger brother. Her gentle nature and thoughtful spirit were qualities that touched all who knew her and left a lasting impression.
Love for Sport
Sport was another of Milla’s passions. She reached representative level in basketball and was preparing for a final match on Friday. Her club, Try Boys, remembered her easy-going personality, her radiant smile and the way she encouraged others both on and off the court. Teammates spoke of her generosity and the joy she brought to every game.
Community Response
Emergency crews, including paramedics, fire services and air ambulance teams, responded quickly at Stonehaven. Several students and the bus driver were treated, while the Major Collision Investigation Unit continues to examine the cause. Police confirmed the driver is assisting with enquiries and urged witnesses with dashcam footage to come forward.
