Sydney Pub Incident: Police Provide Update on Two Individuals

Police are investigating a targeted Sydney pub incident outside The Harold Park Hotel in Forest Lodge. The event occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, when two men were leaving the venue and several shots were fired.

Gilbert Admon Shino, 39, was struck during the incident around 6:40 p.m., despite the efforts of medical responders. His friend, Maradona Yalda, 31, also sustained injuries and underwent surgery. He is now in a stable condition.

Police believe the sydney pub incident was directed at Yalda, who is known to have links to organised groups, while Shino was not connected to any such activity. Witnesses reported multiple shots, with some striking close to staff and patrons.

A burnt-out Mustang, believed to be connected to the incident, was later located in Rydalmere. The Homicide Squad is overseeing inquiries and has asked the public to provide dashcam footage or any relevant information.

Shino’s family described him as a devoted husband and father of two, remembered for his warmth and kindness. Authorities emphasised the importance of community assistance in helping progress the investigation.
